A little about Lippincott

Welcome to my "personal" Internet presence. I am currently a SCORE.org volunteer counselor for SCORE Chapter 631 that serves Mercer and Middlesex Counties in New Jersey. We get "clients" from Somerset County, too. I am also an e-counselor at SCORE.org who answers email questions from individuals across the United States. To learn more about the free offerings provided by SCORE.org see www.score.org, and to learn more about SCORE Chapter 631 see www.scoreprinceton.org.

For the most part, I have made contributions to this Web site to aid me in my SCORE.org counseling. Much of what I do at SCORE.org is to help wanta-be entrepreneurs and actual small business owners either successfully start small businesses or improve upon their existing small businesses. I also counsel wanta-be nonprofit founders, executive directors and development directors to nonprofits about how to start or run a small not-for-profit. My counseling includes how to create or improve upon a fundraising plan or campaign. That requires me to provide relevant information and advice related to doing business or providing a charitable function.

I have found Amazon.com to be a wonderful source of information that my "clients" can use. Instead of me writing extensive emails in my counseling efforts, I write short messages making reference to specific books, booklists, or guides at Amazon.com. Many of the books I recommend my clients read are ones I have written book reviews for. All of the booklists and Amazon Guides I recommend my clients examine are ones I have created.

My professional experience includes working as a staff auditor for an International CPA firm, as a practicing attorney, sales representative, and associate fundraising consultant among other jobs. While practicing law (very broad general practice in NJ and PA) early in my career I became very interested in learning as much as possible about computers and the Internet. I used a computer in the early days much like my own personal paralegal. As a result, I saved on payroll expense when running my own office. I have continued to use the computer in my work thereafter, but expanded my use of it into marketing and self promotion. I do not practice law any longer. At least not currently. And I have had an online presence since 1998 and been the Webmaster of over 20 sites and 2 blogs, almost all of which have been my own sites.
